Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Shuttl, a badminton session organizer for communities, player pools, session codes, rotations, match control, scores, and session history. By accessing or using Shuttl, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Shuttl.

The Service

Shuttl provides software tools for organizing badminton sessions. Shuttl helps hosts create communities, create sessions, share session codes, collect player readiness, generate match previews, rotate players, track scores, and review session history.

Shuttl is not a badminton club, league, coach, facility, referee, medical provider, insurer, safety officer, or event organizer. Shuttl does not control your venue, players, equipment, conduct, physical condition, rule enforcement, transportation, or in-person activity.

Use At Your Own Risk

Badminton and other sports involve physical activity and risk, including injury, illness, property damage, disputes, scheduling errors, unfair play, and other losses. You use Shuttl and participate in any session, match, club activity, or community at your own risk.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether you, your players, your venue, your rules, and your session setup are safe, lawful, suitable, and appropriate. You should use your own judgment instead of relying only on any rotation, recommendation, score, skill value, or output generated by Shuttl.

Accounts And Security

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account, your devices, your browser sessions, your email account, your Google account, and any other sign-in method you use.

Shuttl may rely on Google, Better Auth, Convex, Polar, and other providers for account, authentication, billing, and infrastructure services. Shuttl does not receive your Google password. You are responsible for protecting your third-party accounts and credentials.

Hosts And Community Owners

If you create or manage a community or session, you are responsible for that community or session. This includes player invitations, session codes, venue safety, participant eligibility, permissions, insurance, rules, scores, disputes, player conduct, and compliance with applicable law.

You are responsible for obtaining consent before entering another person's name, skill level, match history, or other information into Shuttl. If you enter information about minors, you are responsible for obtaining any required parent or guardian consent.

Session codes and community links may allow other people to view or join activity in Shuttl. Share codes and links carefully. Shuttl is not responsible for unwanted access caused by your sharing of a code or link.

Players And Guests

Players may be able to join a session without creating an account by using a session code. By joining, viewing, or participating in a session, you agree to use Shuttl lawfully, respectfully, and only for its intended badminton session organization purpose.

Players are responsible for their own conduct, physical readiness, equipment, attendance, scores they enter, and decisions to participate.

User Content

You are responsible for all names, descriptions, images, feedback, scores, skill levels, links, and other content you submit or cause to be submitted to Shuttl. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content.

You grant Shuttl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, modify, process, transmit, and use your content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support Shuttl.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, misleading, invasive of privacy, infringing, spam, malicious, sexually explicit, exploitative, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful. Shuttl may remove content or restrict access at its discretion.

Fairness, Rotations, Scores, And Availability

Shuttl's rotation and matching features are software tools only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, delayed, or unsuitable for a particular group, tournament, venue, format, skill mix, or set of rules.

Shuttl does not guarantee fair matches, equal playing time, correct scores, correct winner records, uninterrupted sessions, successful event management, or any particular sports outcome.

Payments And Subscriptions

Shuttl may offer free and paid features. Payments, subscriptions, checkout, invoices, taxes, customer portal access, and payment method handling are provided through Polar and its payment processors.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and to comply with Polar's applicable checkout, billing, and payment terms. Unless required by law or clearly stated otherwise at checkout, fees are non-refundable. Shuttl may change pricing, plans, limits, and paid features prospectively.

Third-Party Services

Shuttl depends on third-party services such as Google, Polar, Convex, Umami, UploadThing, hosting providers, and payment processors. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Shuttl is not responsible for third-party services, outages, security incidents, data practices, payment decisions, or content.

Prohibited Uses

You may not misuse Shuttl, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest data, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, upload malware, impersonate others, violate privacy rights, use Shuttl for illegal activity, overload the service, bypass limits, or use Shuttl to harm another person or organization.

Suspension And Termination

You may stop using Shuttl at any time and may delete your account from Settings when signed in. Shuttl may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time if Shuttl believes you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, abused the service, or if Shuttl discontinues part or all of the service.

Account deletion may remove your communities, sessions, and history from Shuttl, but some information may remain where retention is required or permitted by law, billing, backups, security, fraud prevention, or third-party provider rules.

Ownership

Shuttl, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other service materials, is owned by Shuttl or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Shuttl to you.

Subject to these Terms, Shuttl gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for its intended purpose.

No Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shuttl is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Shuttl disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, security, and error-free operation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shuttl and its owner, operators, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for any injury, death, property damage, data loss, business interruption, payment issue, security issue, event dispute, unfair match, missed session, incorrect score, or other loss arising from or related to your use of Shuttl or any badminton activity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shuttl's total liability for any claim related to the service will be limited to the greater of: the amount you paid directly to Shuttl for the service in the 3 months before the claim, or USD $50.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shuttl and its owner, operators, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Shuttl, your content, your community or session, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your violation of another person's rights, your in-person activity, or any dispute between users, players, hosts, venues, clubs, or third parties.

Privacy

Shuttl's Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and retained. By using Shuttl, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

Changes To These Terms

Shuttl may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. Your continued use of Shuttl after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Any failure by Shuttl to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Shuttl's consent. Shuttl may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of law.

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the feedback form or another contact method made available in Shuttl.
